Cracks 02:54
Cracks Verse 1 Black and white What is right? What is right? Which way to go I don’t know But life keeps rolling on Sat on the shelf Love yourself Love yourself Let it all out Scream and shout Chorus And you’ll be fine Take your time Take your time Breathe in again It’ll end It’ll end Ohhhhhhh Verse 2 Cracks in the wall Running down Through the floor Cracks, canyon gaps You can’t fix Anymore Chorus Instrumental
2.
Hallelujah 04:11
Hallelujah Verse 1 Oh remember life When you were old And I was five A child beside an oak On carpet swirls With a skipping rope Bridge And I have your face And something of your eyes Verse 2 Sitting on your chair In our front room I see you there Oh how we would sing A childish prayer A simple hymn Chorus And Hallelujah And you were gone Hallelujah And life went on And I did not cry that day Verse 3 A ring inside a box Beside your pearls And broken Watch And I have your face And something of your smile Chorus
3.
Old Friends 05:07
Old Friends Verse 1 In the house where you lived Where the wall in the Garden’s fallen down Well something had to give Mmmm Verse 2 Yellow flowers in a frame Tell the tale We don’t like to think about Not even your name Bridge And all this rain Verse 3 And left on that chair There’s a memory I can’t think about Your silence lives there Bridge And all this rain This rain Chorus Sometimes I can remember That we smiled Laughing through photographs Two souls I’ll be with you ‘til the end Quietly watching the years roll by Old friends Verse 5 In the life that you left There’s a tear that we’ve patched up perfectly Keep catching this thread Bridge And of my faith, you test My faith, it’s in shreds Chorus But life spilled Over the city that we built Bridges and castles, cathedrals History we knew so well But here’s to the tale of the old friends And a city that crumbled and fell Instrumental Outro (Strings)

All Things Change V1 Clouds are gathering in the sky A breeze is blowing but it’s warm and light And I can almost sense A little confidence V2 And I’ve been sitting here too long Going over all the things I’ve done But I can feel the time Doesn’t feel like mine Chorus But I’m here, this is where I am Wide open to a different plan Strange But all things change V3 And I’ve been holding on too tight I’ve been clinging on for my dear life But it don’t work that way So you can bring on the rain Chorus Oh this is where I am Wide open to a different plan ‘Cause nothing stays the same Strange, but all things change Instrumental Chorus

Compass 05:45
Compass Verse 1 Take me away To that house you call home Where nothing belongs to me But my soul I want to find out who I am on my own With you So we play piano Sipping the wine Talk to each other as you build a fire And so here we go Watching us slowly unravelling Chorus And I won’t ask you to stay And I won’t ask us to name This place we’re in Verse 2 And I love how I feel with you Magical wise Quietly tingling Caught in surprise You look at me and you smoulder and sigh Oh my Dancing with you across your kitchen floor In pj’s and cardigans And oh I need more of this And oh your kiss Chorus And I will try, try not to Want too much And I will try not to feel every touch And I won’t even ask where we are going But I know inside I’m hiding Every thought that I just may be falling Anyway… I’ll be ok Verse 3 You’re asleep by the fire now, Where we made a bed And I’m lying awake With the things I’ve not said And I realise I’ve been gathering signs Your heart’s not here. So where does it live? Is it out in the rain? In that wild little garden You can’t seem to tame? In the words of the newspapers Piled up in vain, Waiting? Chorus But love was here Here with you anyway ‘Cause oh my dear, I couldn’t be any other way I’ll leave you here, ‘Cause you don’t belong to me But to learn to love and let them go Is something, I didn’t know I could do …A gift from you You were a place, I couldn’t stay long Gave me a compass I give you a song

Home 04:00
Home Verse 1 Seeing you sitting beside me Quietly taking it in And finally we speak And the circles complete A beginning that starts at the end So we talk about things we are learning And we smile at the things that we know But for all that we’ve learned And we’ve lost, and we’ve earned It seems there’s a long way to go? Chorus But we all need to laugh in the sun To believe that there’s something Just willing us on But I just need to stand on my own And I’m hoping I’ll find How to get home Verse 2 And I’m tired of being an Island That nobody ever gets near And oh the mirror will shine Time after time But lately I’m not really here And I think I came searching for answers To these streets and these bars and café’s Scribbling these words Trying to return To someone that used to have faith Chorus But we’d all like to laugh in the sun To believe that there’s something Just willing us on Well I just need to stand on my own And I’m hoping I’ll find Yeah, I’m hoping I’ll find.. I’m just trying to find my way home And I’m not really sure I can do this alone But whatever I’ve got to go through When I get to myself I hope I find you

I'm Fine 03:01
Jane Taylor Verse 1 It was a feeling that just kicked in A quiet moment in a pulsating din It doesn’t matter, the truths the same Playing the game, wondering how you win The lockers empty, his eyes are dry She’s looking awful but she can’t stop asking why Another second It all will fall Losing it all, It’s all in the waste of time Chorus And as I run and as I crawl I should be climbing up the walls But I’m here looking back at it all Another smile, another blink And now I’m standing at the sink In a daze, ‘cause I’m not really here Is anybody getting this part? I’m fine…So fine Verse 2 Stop your worrying and get some sleep Writing pages, and thinking way too deep Words are never gonna change this scene Get out of the dream You’re sliding on frozen ice Down, off of the edge Well you could fly or find a different ledge So take a deep breath, and let it flow God knows where I’m going But baby I’m here for the show
8.
Lay Your Sword on The Ground Verse 1 Lay your sword on the ground The brave and the bold Well they’ve all fallen down And I think that this cause We’ve been holding out for Well it died Verse 2 And here are the things that were left Shirts that you wore, letters I’ve read But oh what becomes of the things that belonged Just to us? Bridge You still have that locket You promised to fill And I think I know now, You never will Chorus And so now go… Back into your life I’ll fall down into mine Get used to the silence Tell myself that I’m fine When were you ever so tired? Screaming your words at the wall Who were you trying to reach girl Who were you doing it for? Who were you doing it for? Verse 3 And thy will be done But it’s still a constant surprise And something was broken And something was healed But there were no heroes Left on this field Chorus
9.
Where Is Your Grace Where is your grace? Oh, where is your grace? Lost in a place you forgot And what have I done To be so very wrong That I’m all of the things I am not? Where is your voice? Oh, where is your voice? Silently building your walls You carry that name ‘Cause we’re one and the same And all that they’ve done Becomes yours Chorus And you sit there With your eyes on the ground And I’m staring at the sky Wonder why That everything’s turning And everyone’s yearning For something else Where are you going? Oh, where are you going? And how do we ever get there? Is anyone catching? ‘Cause everyone’s throwing Their words and their hopes In the air (Chorus) So go, stop, loosen up Take your time Wont you hurry up Hold tight and get it right And let it all go And you can win, but you’ll only lose All mapped out, but you can choose Hate, love, I’ve had enough Prove, fools always fall down Round, I’m spinning plates Where is God and where’s my faith? Dishing out a little grace? Give me some here And everything’s turning And everyone’s yearning For something else.
10.
I Will Get There Verse1 Travelling this lonely road Just feeling my way Watching myself unfold Day after day But lately I’ve realised That I misunderstood I’ve been reaching out for some things That do me no good Bridge But anyway I Don’t need you to rescue me I’m not trying to be saved I’m not looking for sympathy I’ve got to find my own way Chorus There’s something inside That’s guiding me To somewhere, I’ve got to be There’s something inside I need to trust, to open up And, with a little hope And a lot of faith A little love and time And I will get there…. Verse 2 And tell me how do you concede When you’re faced with a choice? Do you listen to what you need? Or do you fall on your sword? Chorus Outro A little time A little love on my side A little steal, a little faith And I will get to that place And I will lose and I will fall But I will love through it all A little grace, a little fight And I will be alright And I will hope a little time A little love on my side A little steal, lot of faith And I will get to that place A little love, until I find a way And I will lose and I will fall But I will love through it all And I will look and I will breathe Until I know how to be A little grace, a little fight And I will be alright A little hope a little time A little love on my side A little steal a little faith And I will get to that place A little love And I will get to love I will get to love

about

This album won 'BEST ALBUM' at 'The Independent Music Awards. It was recorded at Yellow Arch Studios in Sheffield with Mercury Nominated Producer, Colin Elliot (famous for his work with Richard Hawley, Kylie Minogue and Jarvis Cocker). We loved making this album. The picture on the front of the album is of a friends neice. She loved dressing like the girl from the Secret Garden. Those are her clothes. She seemed to know who is she was already. We paid her in ice cream!
It features the Grimethorpe Colliery Band, a Gospel Choir (made up of singers and songwriters from the South West) and also the Hawley Band. Very proud of this album.
